God's call to Prayer

God’s Call to Prayer
Stan Adams

It is God’s desire that in these Last days, the Body of Christ will seek Him with all their heart.God has promised us that we will FIND him IF we search for him with ALL of our heart. Jeremiah 29: 12,13 In Colossians 4:2 the Apostle Paul encourages us to devote ourselves to Prayer with an attitude of thanksgiving. Prayer is a constant communication with God throughout the day. The Lord has made a Promise to us in Hebrews 13:5 that He will never leave us alone and so we can confidently say "The Lord is my Helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?"

A Hymn that has blessed my life for 30 years is "What a friend we have in Jesus."I remember my Dad humming it frequently at our home, when I was a child. Jesus, the Lord of Heaven and earth is our friend. Isn’t that so wonderful? Let us then come boldly to the throne of grace and cast our burdens at his feet.Hebrews 4: 16 Let us take his yoke upon us and learn gentleness and humility of heart from him and we WILL find rest for our souls. God’s abundant blessings on you this brand New Year!

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there. Blessed Savior, You have promised you will all our burdens bear May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion
