Give me Jesus

In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I am alone
When I am alone
When I am alone, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I come to die
When I come to die
When I come to die, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

Fill with your love

You are my Shepherd
Lord, king and friend

You lead me
You guide me
You restore me;
and I thank you

Your love is deep;
deeper than any ocean
higher than the heavens
and I love you Lord

You are my friend
master, redeemer;
and I love you Lord
and I love you Lord

I praise you
I worship you
I bow down before you

Lord, your mercies
are new, every morning
every morning
and I love you
and I love you, Lord

Fill me
with your presence
with your love;
with your peace

Draw me to you
Help me follow you

Pray for India

Regard prisoners as if you were in prison with them. Look on victims of abuse as if what happened to them had happened to you.
Hebrews 13:3

When you are reviled and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers-wonderful!
Be happy about it! Be very glad! for a tremendous reward awaits you up in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted too. Mathew 5:11,12

Christians Beaten by Militants in Raipur, India

On February 19, a pastor's wife was beaten in Raipur, Chhattisgarh by a man responsible for an attack on her husband, Pastor Kanhaiya Lal Sharma, and five other pastors in December 2005. According to a February 23 report from Compass Direct, Kanti Sharma was at the community water tap with Jogi Sahu (19), an associate of the Hindu militant group Dharma Sena, when she saw him manhandling a female minor. She told him to stop abusing the girl. A few minutes later, Sahu and his brother sought the pastor's wife out at her home. They dragged her out of the house by her hair and beat her, giving her a bloody nose and a swollen eye.

When Pastor Sharma took his wife to the Urla police station, the police refused to file a complaint against her attackers, insisting that the parties solve their dispute on their own. The pastor's wife had to wait more than two hours for the police inspector to arrive before she was allowed to seek hospital treatment. Though the police stated that there was no religious motive for the beating, Christian leaders in Chhattisgarh claim that the incident was triggered by opposition to Pastor Sharma's hosting Sunday worship services in his home.

On February 20, three pastors were also beaten in Raipur in an attack led by Panat Ram, a local politician from the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to a February 26 report from Compass Direct, Elisha Baker, Balbir Kher and Nan Sai of the Believer's Church were attacked at approximately 3:00 p.m. while attending a three-day Christian meeting in the house of a local believer. They all received minor injuries. Prior to the attack, Ram had filed a police complaint against the organizers of the February 18-20 meeting for allegedly converting Hindus but police investigation proved his allegations false.

Pray for the nation of India. Pray for God's blessings on India.
Pray for the healing of all those who were injured in these attacks. Pray that church leaders in India will remain faithful to the task God has given them, knowing that they will receive the crown of life (I Peter 5:1-4). Pray that Indian Christians will rejoice in the opportunity to grow in Christlikeness through the ongoing opposition they face (James 1:2-4).

Prayer of St.Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not as much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we are pardoned;
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Wait

"Not by might nor by power, but by My spirit, says the Lord of Hosts" Zech. 4:6
We need the power of the God's spirit to live the Christian life as we should.

Jesus said in the gospel that without him we can do nothing.

We need him every day. Let us seek God earnestly in prayer for the power of the spirit, every day of our lives.
"You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be
witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" Acts 1:8

Higher ground

I am pressing on the upward way,

New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I’m onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

chorus

Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table land,
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where those abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till Heav’n I’ve found,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

Watch and Pray

Watch and Pray
Stan Adams
Jesus said "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Mark 14: 38
The Lord Jesus just before his crucifixion, in the garden o f Gethsemane began to be very distressed and troubled.
And he said to them " My soul is crushed by sorrow to the point of death; stay here and watch with me" vs. 34 L.B
There will be seasons in our life when we are distressed, fearful, grief-stricken and depressed. What do we do then?
The Lord asks us to be on the alert, observe the seasons and pray.
That night in the garden, the Lord’s heart was overwhelmed with sorrow and deep anguish. His soul was deeply troubled to the point of death. And he Knelt and prayed. He asked his friends to watch and pray along with him; but they were overcome by sleep.
He may have prayed atleast three hours before he came to his disciples the third time. Vs 32-41
It’s good to pray until we are strengthened from above. The disciple’s couldn’t watch and pray and they failed in the time of temptation. They ran away when the Lord was arrested.
Sometimes, we may wonder why we are overcome by selfishness, anger, lovelessness, fear, bitterness, jealousy, lust etc; we may not be spending enough time with God, in his word and prayer.
James 5: 16 says "The effective prayer of a righteous man availeth much". It’s very important to be counted righteous before God, because he knows our hearts.
If we have hurt anyone, It’s good to ask for their forgiveness. If someone has hurt us, let us seek God’s help to forgive them.
"For if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if do not forgive others, then your father WILL NOT forgive your transgressions" Matthew 5: 14, 15
And no unforgiven person will be able to ENTER God’s kingdom.
It’s important to forgive others from the heart. Matt. 18: 35

Near the Cross

Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain
Free to all, a healing stream
Flows from Calvary’s mountain.

Refrain
In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever;
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,
Love and mercy found me;
There the bright and morning star
Sheds its beams around me.

Refrain
Near the cross! O Lamb of God,
Bring its scenes before me;
Help me walk from day to day,
With its shadows o’er me.

Refrain
Near the cross I’ll watch and wait
Hoping,trusting ever,
Till I reach the golden strand,
Just beyond the river.

Refrain
