The way of the cross

Jesus in the four gospels asked us to deny our self will to do the will of the father each and every day. Luke 9:23-26

If we desire to become spiritual, we have to go this way.
There is no other way.

The way of the cross is the way to life.
Jesus had a self will and he denied it every day. John 6:38

If we are to follow Jesus, we have to follow his example in denying the self life that we inherited from Adam.

God arranges our circumstances in life wherein there are many opportunities to die to the self life. God uses difficult bosses, jealous coworkers, financial troubles and a host of other things to humble us. Let us gladly submit to all of God's dealings with us.

When we humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, he will exalt us over circumstances, over depression, discouragement, bad moods, jealousy, anger, over Satan, over sin etc. 1Peter5:6

Draw near to God in repentance and faith in his love for you. Surrender all at his feet and make him the Lord of your life. Ask him to fill you with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Determine to live your life based on the promptings of the Holy Spirit and not on your reasoning. Proverbs 3:5,6

Listening to the still small voice, denying your will in all situations and following Jesus will make you spiritual and more like Jesus in the inner man.

As we deny our self will, the veil of the flesh will be rent and we will enter the Holy place where there is wonderful fellowship with the father. Hebrews 10:19,20
In his presence there is fullness of Joy. Psalm16:11
